	We all know the media likes to hype things up (or at least I do) and put reverence and paranoia into the minds of every cretin on earth. I also know that local news reporters like to think they have a PH. D in diseases. I'm sick of everyone talking about a new world wide epidemic every 3 months. I watched a whole report on CNN about Mumps last night. This morning I watched the local news and guess what words were mentioned? It starts with "epid" and ends with "emic." What ever happend to our bird flu fad? Was it not flashy enough? Or were to many people just not buying into the bullshit of it all? I know what those reporters up in the CNN Building are thinking, "Lets bring up a new exciting disease that we haven't seen the effects of, or better yet! A Disease that suposovly has been extinct for the last 50 years    and has already killed 100 million+ people worldwide in the past, people are sure to pay attention to those statistics!" its all hype and hogwash. 11 million people die every year from the common cold but wheres the band wagon for it? For those of you who are buying into this mass hysteria. I have come up with a list of the most flashy diseases so you will know which ones make you look the coolest when you talk about them.
